“My favorite part about playing Ursula is being the villain. I’ve never really been in a big villain part. In my last show, I played Wendy in ‘Peter Pan,’ so it’s really interesting to see the contrast that a villain role gets.”

Sean Blade Garcia, 7, is playing a crab.

“I’m playing a crab in ‘The Little Mermaid.’ Because in ‘Peter Pan’ I was a person and I wanted to try to be a sea creature and I was thinking that it would be fun and now I’m in ‘The Little Mermaid.’”

The part of a seahorse is being played by Samuel Garcia, 8.

“My favorite part is I had stage fright for a long, long time and now this is getting rid of my stage fright and I am a seahorse.”

Trinity Serna Jacobs had a simple explanation for her favorite part of “The Little Mermaid.”

She said, “I like it because I like the costumes.”

Performances of “The Little Mermaid” are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Grace Arts Live is located at 2146 McCulloch Blvd. N. Admission is adults $12; children 17 and younger $8.
