Lake Havasu’s Longest-running Event Set For This Weekend

The 51st annual Lake Havasu City Gem and Mineral Show takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Aquatic Center.

This popular perennial event features beautiful jewelry and art creations and their own personal collections.

Unusual minerals, fossils and rocks from around the world are displayed and explained.

Professionals will demonstrate their crafts and there are plenty of opportunities to shop for gifting ideas or personal treasures.

All proceeds go toward the organization’s High School Scholarship fund.

The event is of course hosted by the Lake Havasu Gem and Mineral Society which is dedicated to educating members and the community about gems, minerals and fossils.

The Gem and Mineral Show will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Aquatic Center is located at 100 Lake Ave. Admission is $2 per person and children under 12 are admitted free.

    It was amazed, this was a great show for a city this size. Displays were beautiful, properly labled and the hosts were knowledgeable and helpful. I learned and bought items at reasonable prices. For me it was an exciting show. Thank you Gem and Mineral Society.
