Those in the Lake Havasu City area don’t have to go far to experience a professional pyrotechnic show in the night sky since the Western Pyrotechnic Association is back hosting their annual Winter Blast event Wednesday through Sunday at SARA Park in Lake Havasu City.
“Every year, different display companies come out. This year, Fireworks America is doing a 10 minute tribute show to Rock and Roll music to celebrate over 30 years in business,” said Western Pyrotechnics Association, Board Member Dennis Miele.
The Western Pyrotechnics Association (WPA) is a club whose mission is to promote safe use of fireworks and pyrotechnics and educate proper legal use of them in the community.
“Our board and crew starts selecting an event chair in the summer, then we start to get to work in October before the event,” Miele said. This year we also have DMS Events LLC organizing the event.”
Not only will you find an amazing firework show, according to Miele, there are seminars and workshops before the show that spectators and firework enthusiasts can participate in, as well as vendors.
Winter Blast takes place Wednesday through Sunday, at SARA Park, located at Havasu 95 Speedway 7260 Dub Campbell Parkway.
Wednesday and Thursday Admission is free. Friday through Sunday admission price is $10 per vehicle. No exiting and re entry. Spectators must remain parked at event.
