The 35th Annual Winterfest Street Fair that happened last weekend on McCulloch Boulevard was considered a success by event organizers.
Lisa Krueger, President and CEO of the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce said, “Winterfest was an amazing success. Although we have no way to actually count the number of local residents and winter visitors that joined us, we estimate at least 30,000 people over the course of the two-day event.”
Kruger said vendors she spoke to said they had a wonderful weekend with good sales.
“The brick and mortar businesses along McCulloch Boulevard were busy, the bars and restaurants were full all day long,” she said.
Some changes were made to the logistics of the event this year with the beer garden located in Yard City, Krueger said. “We moved our beer garden to Yard City and it worked out wonderfully.”
Krueger expressed thanks to First Friday and the PED for helping facilitate the more, along with Anderson Auto Group’s assistance with sponsorship. “We had some great live entertainment and some amazing fellowship going on in Yard City all weekend.
“Special kudos to our amazing Chamber team of staff and volunteers combined that worked tirelessly for months in preparation and for hours and hours over the weekend to make this event successful.”
In addition to the sponsorship of Anderson Auto Group, Krueger said Alex Ross State Farm offered office space as Chamber headquarters for the weekend.
“Our biggest thanks, of course, goes to all of our local residents and visitors for joining us on Main Street to celebrate our local community and the amazing winters that we share in Lake Havasu City,” she said.
Nikki Nickle, Vice President of Investor Relations added to Krueger’s comments on the weekend.
“The Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce is truly grateful for the support of our volunteers, sponsors, team and the entire community who together made the 35th annual Winterfest Street Festival a shining success. Thousands of happy festival goers of all ages flocked to Main Street to enjoy shopping, live music and so much more,” Nickle said.
The 2021 Winterfest will be Feb. 20 and 21.
