The event at ASU College at Lake Havasu City Daytona Hall featured members of six Havasu elementary school STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and math) clubs, as well as Telesis, HPA, and Calvary students. The students competed individually against each other and as teams to solve problems using math skills.
Winners received trophies and medals and the school performing best overall received a trophy to commemorate its victory. Those students taking top honors will have the opportunity to attend the state championships later this school year. Smoketree Elementary took home overall honors and Starline took home second place.
Frontier Communications and the K-12 Foundation sponsored the event.
