Lake Havasu Unified School District celebrated National CTE Month Wednesday with a visit and proclamation from Mayor Mark Nexsen.

Marsha Becker, LHUSD Coordinator for CTE (Career Technical Education) and WAVE (Western Association of Vocational Education), said it was nice to have the Mayor visit.

“It was nice to have the Mayor on our campus today to check out our programs. CTE has changed a lot from traditional voc ed – the early inception of CTE,” she said

Becker said, “It was nice for him to check out the exciting projects and classrooms we are able to create from CTE funding.”

Mayor Nexsen toured Sam Brindes’s video classroom and Kristal Norman’s journalism classroom while on campus.
