History Speaks- The Harlots of Tucson



AZ Humanities is partnering with the Lake Havasu Museum of History and ASU Lake Havasu for their January Program. The presentation discusses the history of prostitution in Tucson.

AZ Humanities Speaker, Bernard Wilson, will be presenting “From Maiden Lane to Gay Alley: Prostitution in Tucson, 1880-1912.”. The event will discuss the lives of Tucson Prostitutes, and their daily struggles in the new town of Tucson.

The history presentation will begin with a wine and cheese reception from 5:30-6:30p. Members have free access to the reception while non-members will be charged a $5 fee.

The program starts at 7p and is free and open to the public.

Membership information will be available at the event which provides free admission to the museum and to future programs/receptions.
