“Our goal is to really focus on wellness,” said Destination Hydration owner and Nurse Practioner Michelle Witzel. Most conditions often times can be treated with fluids and not always require a trip to the emergency room.” she said.
Infusion Therapy or (IV Therapy) involves adding fluids or medications by injecting a needle into a patient’s vein. It allows for a more efficient way to treat many illnesses since it delivers medicine or fluids, directly into the patient’s bloodstream.
Destination Hydration was born when Lake Havasu City resident and Nurse Michelle Witzel noticed there was a need for IV therapy after so many emergency rooms were often crowded with patients who simply needed fluids to hydrate or get help with their conditions and didn’t necessarily require an emergency room visit. In 2017 and 2018, she did more research and was finally mobile in 2019 before opening a clinic in 2020.
“It began as a mobile service and people quickly started saying they wish there was a clinic or location they can also come to,” Witzel said.
In 2020, Wizel’s clinic opened however with the COVID-19 pandemic at that time, she was forced to reschedule a grand opening because of many shutdowns that took place. Since then, Destination Hydration has been busy both mobile and inside the clinic and are now expanding their medical office.
Destination Hydration will host its grand reopening Saturday, at Destination Hydration located at 1600 McCulloch Blvd. Suite 3A from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be a new expanded clinic tour, raffles and prizes, trick or treating for the kids, health fair, breast cancer awareness event and more.

“We have mobile nurses seven days a week, and we also have clinic walk-ins as well,” Witzel said. “You don’t need an appointment you can come on in any time during clinic hours 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.”
