The shining star of the local senior center kitchen, Barbara Broughton, retired Tuesday after more than 19 years of service with the Mohave County Department of Public Health.
As the chief cook at the senior center, located on Acoma Boulevard South, Broughton established years of friendships with
many patrons, staff and volunteers and will be surely missed.
Broughton was feted with a retirement party at the center, attended by many friends and staff. County officials presented her with a personalized desk clock for her years of service.
