The 248th birthday of the United States Marine Corps was celebrated in style by the Lake Havasu City Marine Corps League Friday night.

The Marine Corps League Birthday Ball was at the London Bridge Resort Convention Center and local Marines were honored.

Lieutenant Colonel Wilburn Meador was the guest speaker.
