Ballet Havasu is hosting a night of music, ballet performances and a silent auction at the Black and White Gala benefit happening Saturday, at 6 p.m., at the Realtor Convention Center- and it’s for a great cause.
“The fundraiser is an opportunity to have great time while supporting Ballet Havasu, one of the stand-out cultural institutions of our community. Dress in black and white…and that means any black and white, (it is not limited to formal attire). There will be a silent auction including paintings, metal sculpture and gift baskets; a performance featuring Ballet Havasu Students and an opportunity for attendees to get up and dance with a partner during a waltz lesson taught at the event,” said Ballet Havasu Artistic Director, Nathan Cottam.
Ballet Havasu’s most recent shows include “Gisselle Act II” and “Noah’s Ark” at the Lake Havasu High School Performing Arts Center this past April. The nonprofit produces two full productions every year: The Nutcracker each December and a Spring performance in April or May.
Funds raised will go towards students scholarships, performance excellence and world class instruction.
Dinner at the gala will be provided by La Vida Dolce. Tickets are $100 per person or $700 for a table of eight., and are available online at http://ballethavasu.org or at the door. For more information call 928-450-8216.
Benefit takes place at the Realtor Convention Center located at 2295 Swanson Ave., Lake Havasu City.
