If you need to be in the know about the musical scene in Lake Havasu City, local resident Stacie Boehm knows it quite well and can connect you to the next live event happening through the power of social media.

“As someone who loves music and dancing, I found a handful of bands performing here and there. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate one music schedule for all, one that would inform me of who’s playing, where and when so I decided to call venues every weekend and put a schedule out myself.”

When Boehm retired in 2016, and relocated from Sheridan, Wyo., and relocated to Lake Havasu, she saw a need to connect music lovers like herself, to a place to find a schedule with all the upcoming bands and musical events taking place. That’s when she created a few community pages to fill that need.

About two years ago, Boehm started her own Facebook group page dubbed “Live Music Havasu” in order to post the weekly live music schedule for all to see.

“I found people needed a source to locate all the great music in Havasu and the surrounding area,” Boehm said.

Aside from her Facebook page, Boehm also started a YouTube Channel called “Stacie’s Music Community” where she posts  local music videos. This according to Boehm, allows people to hear the bands and at the same time, allows the bands to use it for advertising and promotions.

Since then, the “Live Music Havasu” Facebook page now has about 4,800 followers on her YouTube channel, “Stacie’s Music Community” has more than 3,200 videos.

“Many people tell me that they rely on my Live Music Havasu Weekly schedule to plan their evenings out each week, Boehm said.
