A Festival Of Desert Beauty

Thanks to the recent moisture in the usually dry atmosphere of the Lake Havasu City area, the desert has sprung to life with a festival of color.

Desert blooms have opened, and the colors have brightened the landscape throughout the area.

Bright yellows, purples, whites and more have combined to be the harbingers of spring in the Southwest.

While many of the vibrant flowering plants are seen by some to troublesome weeds, the colors remind us that we don’t always have a brown, sandy environment.

In addition to the pesky scorpion weed, lupine, prickly leaf, sand verbena, sand bells, prickly poppy and evening primrose are among some of the blooming beauty and aromatic fragrance those exploring the area can enjoy.

Warning: Do not touch the scorpion weed. It could cause an allergic reaction.
