The 55th annual Gem and Mineral Show hosted by the Lake Havasu Gem and Mineral Society is this weekend.
There will be 43 vendors displaying and selling raw stones, faceted gems, jewelry, carved stones, beads, fossils, cabochons and more. In addition, the show will feature lapidary and live demonstrations by professionals. Books, tools and gifts also will be available.

Thousands have visited the show in the past as the event has been ongoing since 1970. Along with the sales booths there will be a raffle, door prizes, food and beverage service, displays, a scavenger hunt and silent auction.
The Gem and Mineral Show is at the Aquatic Center on Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers can show up at 7 a.m., Nov. 7, to help set up.
General admission for the show is $5 for the full weekend and children under 12 are free.
