The annual Lake Havasu 2025 Turkey Trot 5K run and walk was hosted at the island football field on Nov. 15th.
This event allows people of all kinds to run in a 5K, with all proceeds benefiting H.A.V.E.N Food 4 Kids. The organization aims to provide nutritious meals for children who could otherwise go without.
Many attended the event and donated to H.A.V.E.N Food 4 Kids.

“The annual Turkey Trot is an amazing fundraiser for food for kids’ programs through H.A.V.E.N Food 4 Kids. They support over 470 kids each weekend that go home without nutritious meals,” said event organizer, Crystal Callagy.
The course went around the island, giving runners a chance to take in the beauty that Lake Havasu offers.
Runners ranged from first-time runners to experienced marathoners.
“I just moved here in July. I love the Lake Havasu area and I’m so excited I got to run in this Turkey Trot,” first place women’s winner, Kelly Urich, said about the 5K.
The Trot allowed people to share the giving spirit of Thanksgiving by supporting a cause that many are passionate about.
