Annual Rodeo And Delbert Days This Weekend

It’s time again for the rodeo Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the SARA Park Rodeo Grounds. Gates open at 9 a.m. both days.

Come between 1 and 4 p.m., to see performances by Grand Canyon Professional Rodeo Association, the largest professional rodeo association in Arizona. Performances include Bareback riding, Bull riding, Bronc riding, Steer wrestling, Saddle Bronc Calf Roping, Rodeo Queens and more. 

Also for the kids there is Delbert Days. Starting at 11 a.m. Youngsters can ride sheep and calves. There is a 50-pound weight limit for sheep and 80-pound limit for calves. Bring a mouth piece. Helmet and vests are provided. 

There are more activities for children, including pony rides, petting zoo, mechanical bull, bungee jumps, King of the hill, rock wall and more.

There is a $15 admission fee to Delbert Days, while children 15 and under are free.
