Lake Havasu City is making sure to provide families and kids with resources before the new school year begins next month. A few school supplies drives and the annual Back to School Health Fair are set to provide needed help.
The Havasu Community Health Foundation is hosting it’s 15th annual Back to School Health Fair at the Lake Havasu City Aquatic Center Aug. 6, from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be several vendors, games and prizes along with many resources for families.
” This is very important to have because we offer free school immunizations and much needed sports physicals for children participating in their school athletic programs,” said Joni Spencer with the Community Health Foundation.
The Elks Lodge and Healthy Striders organizations will also host a free family swim day at the Aquatic Center following the fair from noon to 4 p.m. Free Pizza is available to the first 400 families. Other sponsors include; Havasu Regional Medical Center, Nextcare, River Medical and The Lake Havasu City Rotary Club.
