The 29th annual Buses by the Bridge event began in Lake Havasu City at Lake Havasu State Park Windsor 4 last Thursday and concludes today.

Hundreds of buses camped out for the event, giving the community an insight into the bus-life.

Shelly and Darrin Springs own a bus named “Beddy White,” and when asked about their bus they said, “We got our bus four years ago. We’ve been here twice and we followed Route 66, tried to do some things on the way. We do bus shows and car shows and camp outs. We’re from Saint Joseph, Mo.”

Their bus was manufactured in 1967 and is decorated with an array of bright colors and positive messages.

The Springs, along with many other bus owners, drove their bus to Lake Havasu and had many adventures along the way.

Vendors set tables out in front of their buses, selling various goods. The Sea Scouts were at the event, volunteering by the front gate.

On Friday night, Buses by the Bridge hosted their lantern walk in memory of the members of the bus driver community who have passed away.

Here are some photos from the event.
