When Soroptimist International of Lake Havasu City replaced the traditional home tour event as their main fundraiser with the Southwest Chowderfest, they weren’t sure how it would turn out. But to their surprise, it was a huge success.
The final numbers are in, and the community did its part and the inaugural event brought in $40,000.
These are funds that will be used in the community to support women and girls with a hand up.
The date has been set for next year’s Southwest Chowderfest for March 11, 2023 at Lake Havasu State Park, Windsor.
Southwest Chowderfest was sponsored for the inaugural event by Riverbound Custom Storage & RV Park, Summerlin Title Agency, Mainline Welding, Anderson Toyota, APX Real Estate Group, Horizon Community Bank, Mudshark Public House, Campbell Public House, Campbell Redi Mix, Crypteez and Bev Stephens.
And local restaurants brought their offerings – or there wouldn’t have been an event.
Niko’s Grill and Pub took home the Golden Ladle.
