Desert Storm comes alive every spring in Lake Havasu City, bringing thrills and chills to young and old alike with power of the super boats that come to show off for the event.
But that’s not all that Desert Storm does.
Organizers gathered Tuesday morning at Cypress Park to present more than $77,000 to community nonprofits.

Steve Tickner, president of Desert Storm, said, “Today we are giving out all the money we raised at our 2025 Desert Storm through our auction, our raffle, and the entry fees that a portion of each goes into the kitty, so to speak.”
Ticknor said the organization raised a total of $77,012. “The most we’ve ever done through the generous donations from our sponsors and participants,” he said.

The money was divided between nonprofits Adaptive Golf and Other Sports, RISE Services, Inc., Milemarkers and New Horizons. All provide services to individuals and families in the Lake Havasu City area.
“Huge shoutout to Anderson PowerSports for making this happen, and to our other premiere sponsors Kicker Marine Audio, Shugrue’s Restaurant Group and Go Lake Havasu.
Ticknor was joined Tuesday by Misty Rich of Desert Storm who was in charge of getting everything together for the silent auction.
