More than 40 young actors and actresses will take the stage through the weekend for the production of “Frozen Jr.” at Grace Arts Live.

The production is based on the 2013 film and is a tale of true love and acceptance between sisters. As Princess Elsa struggles with feelings of being an outsider and harnessing her powers within, Princess Anna sets out on a journey to bring her family together again.

Grace Art’s version of Disney’s “Frozen Jr.” is directed by Lake Havasu City resident Alyson Chapin, who also has been involved as a child at Grace Arts Live and is thrilled to be involved as director of the production this year.

“I was asked to come back as an adult and start training to direct and I was happy to do so,” Chapin said. “The actors have had almost four weeks of preparing for the show and there were so many great auditions it was really hard to choose among them.”

Those in attendance can expect to see all their favorite characters which include Princess Elsa played by Josslyn Portz, and Princess Anna played by Bailey Vesely, and of course Olaf played by Liam Ahn.

“The show is very good,” Ahn said. “It’s important all the actors smile and make sure to stay in character throughout the show. It’s a good show!”

“This will be slightly different from the movie but it is still an awesome show it still has the same fun and charm,” Vesely said.

Will both princesses find the love they are searching for? Or will they find it at this weekend’s “Frozen Jr.” production at Grace Arts Live.

“I think this version you will get a closer look inside of what the characters are feeling through the monologues, verses the movie you see more of the outside of what the characters are presenting,” Portz said.
