Thursday Morning Refuge Walk



The Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge will be offering free guided walks each Thursday morning this winter and early spring. These ongoing events are free and open to the public.

Who: Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge
What: Free 1.5 mile guided nature walk
Where: Bill Williams River NWR Visitor Center (60911 HWY 95, Parker, AZ 85344)
When: Each Thursday 9-11 AM [November 30-April 11]
Why: Participants will learn about the refuge as well as the different types of wildlife that call it home.
We will begin at the visitor center at 9AM and walk first the Peninsula Trail (paved) and then the Delta Trail (unpaved). Be prepared to walk about 1.5 miles outdoors. Remember to wear sturdy shoes, dress in layers, and bring water.

Directions From Lake Havasu City: Travel approximately 17 miles south on Hwy 95 until you cross the Bill Williams River bridge. Continue for ½ mile and turn right into the visitor center parking area near mile marker 161.

Directions from Parker: Travel north 18 miles to marker 161 and turn toward the lake.
