It is the summer of 1776 and the nation is ready to declare independence…if only our founding fathers can agree to do it! Follow this compelling portrayal of a pivotal moment in American history as John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson attempt to convince the Second Continental Congress to vote for the new country, free from the British monarchy by signing the Declaration of Independence. Through leadership, courage and collaboration, 1776 emphasizes the importance of ongoing discourse despite differing viewpoints and embracing compromise to ensure that the spirit of democracy endures for generations to come.
1776 is presented through a special arrangement with Musical Theatre International. All authorized performance materials are also supplied by Musical Theatre International.
