A “live” Drive-Through Nativity, which tells the story of Christmas and brings to life the true meaning of what Christmas is all about. This is the 18th Annual event.

There are 9 scenes with live performers and live animals enhanced by special lighting and music. These scenes portray the story of Christmas from the angel Gabriel appearing to Mary, then Caesar reading the decree, Mary & Joseph traveling to Bethlehem, the Inn scene, Angels on high, Shepherds in the field, the Manger scene and the Wiseman following the star to find Jesus.

It all end at the cross, which is the real reason why Jesus came – to provide a way for salvation for us sinners. Without the cross, everything else about Christmas would be meaningless.

We do it as a FREE gift to our community. Jesus gave His life for us as a free gift of salvation and this is the least that we can do to give back.

WHY?

So that people can take time out of their busy schedules to reflect on what Christmas is really all about. We just set the scene. God touches the hearts and works powerfully through this event. Many people are in tears as the leave the Nativity site.

Why in Desert Hills?

Each year we try to enhance the event and make it as real as possible – as if you are going back in time and really traveling to Bethlehem. There is a big double vacant lot next to our Church in Desert Hills where we can really set the scene. With our church next door, we can set up costumes and have our hospitality room right there.

The main thing is that we wanted it to be where God wants it. We held it in LHC for first 7 years, and after praying about it, God made it clear that it was time to move it out to Desert Hills. We are extremely excited about it & look forward to whatever God has in store this year.

WHERE?

The Drive-Through Nativity will be located this year in Desert Hills at the corner of N. London Bridge Road and E. Quartzsite, next to New Hope Calvary Church. Traffic route will be the same as in the past with the best way to get there being from Hwy 95 onto N. London Bridge Road and follow the signs to the site Or just follow the beam of light just like the wisemen did. Local traffic officials will be on hand to direct traffic.

We’d like to invite everyone to come out before Christmas, on FRIDAY the 11th or SATURDAY the 12th from 5:30 – 9:30pm each night. Bring the whole family. Stay in the comfort of your car.
