Paddlers turned out in force Saturday for the 7th Annual Havasu Heat Paddle Palooza.
Racers conquered both a short and long course to vie for the top finishes.
The short course began at the end of Bridgewater Channel and traveled around the island. The short course catered to novices in the race.
The long course also started at the same place but traveled through the Bridgewater Channel, under the London Bridge and over to the California side of Lake Havasu. Participants paddled down the coastline of California to Grass Island and back to Arizona waters.
Novice SUP paddlers also had an opportunity to participate in a two-mile, in-bay, short-short course.
Results were not available at the time of posting. They will be added later.
