Equipment meant to save lives was donated to several Lake Havasu City schools and organizations recently by the Havasu Masonic Lodge No. 64.
LifeVac kits are easy to use devices used in choking emergencies. The LifeVac uses a one-way valve and a plunger to create a suction that removes the obstructed object from the airway. It can be used by both adults and children.
The kit includes the LiveVac Airway Clearance device, adult mask, pediatric mask, instructions for use and instructions to report a life saved.
Havasu Masonic Lodge donated the kits to Starline Elementary School, Jamaica Elementary School, Nautilus Elementary School, Smoketree Elementary School and Mile Markers. Multiple LifeVacs were also donated to the Lake Havasu City Fire Department.
Havasu Masonic Lodge also donated two classroom grants to Smoketree Elementary School in the total amount of $380. Classroom Grants are intended to be for the classroom and used by the teacher and students to aid in learning including books, classroom supplies, computer aids and more.
