Lake Havasu City Stingray swimmers challenged themselves this morning, when they participated in the 12th annual Coach Mike Memorial Lake Swim.
The three-mile swim crosses Lake Havasu and commemorates Stingrays swim coach in the early 2020s. Tragically, Taylor passed away in May 2013 at a swim meet.
One of Taylor’s coaching practices included a Lake Havasu swim.
Starting at Rotary Community Park, participants swim through the Bridgewater Channel.
Partial proceeds for entry are donated to the Coach Mike Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Bradley Brown won the boy’s competition with a time of 1:16.09. Brown also won last year’s race.
In the winner’s circle for the girl’s competition was Brianna Baumkircher, with a time of 1:40:49.
Here are photos of the event.
