RiverScene Magazine is a community website with an average of 10,000 visitors and over 30,000 page views a month. We are seeking an independent (part-time or full-time) Writer or Reporter.

Do you enjoy the art of storytelling? Are you a good listener and do you want to reach a larger audience with your written word? We would love for you to join our team.

You do not have to live in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Job Duties

• Choose subject matter that interests readers
• Write  nonfiction stories on people and events in Lake Havasu City
• Conduct research to obtain factual information and authentic detail
• Write advertising copy for use by newspapers, magazines, broadcasts, and the Internet
• Present drafts to editors and clients for feedback
• Work with editors and clients to shape the material so it can be published
• When writing reporting stories conform to the Associated Press writing style.

Pay

• Contract based pay per article and type.
• Independent contractor.
