The children of Lake Havasu City got a little taste of what it must be like at the North Pole about this time of year when they got to sled with Santa Friday night at Rotary Community Park.
Since it isn’t normal for Lake Havasu City to experience snow – even in December – the snow was manufactured for the event and the kids loved the experience.
The sledding slope was on the grass hill near the Tinnell Memorial Sports Park, The kids also got to visit with Santa and tell him whether they had been naughty or nice and what they wanted for Christmas. They took holiday crafts home to remember the event.
Sledding With Santa was hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department.

Thank you for all the wonderful work you do for this community. It will be hard to leave Lake Havasu after 21 years, but I know that I will always be able to check out Riverscene to see what is happening.
