Lake Havasu Community Supports Walk Away From Drugs 2025

On Thursday, the Young Adult Development Association of Havasu (YADAH) hosted its seventh annual Walk Away From Drugs event, drawing community members together in support of substance abuse prevention and recovery. The event featured participation from local recovery and rehabilitation organizations, as well as support from the Lake Havasu City Police Department and the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Attendees enjoyed complimentary food and community activities before beginning the two-mile walk along the water. The event commenced with a presentation by the Sheriff’s Office Color Guard, followed by a proclaimation from Mayor Cal Sheehy recognizing the day’s significance in promoting awareness and healthy choices within the community.
