Lake Havasu High School seniors gathered under the London Bridge Tuesday to make a big commitment to their futures.
Marsha Becker, CT coordinator for Lake Havasu Unified School District and WAVE, said, “Under the Bridge today we are celebrating seniors making a decision about their future.
“This event is called ‘Owning My Future.’”
Becker said it’s the second year for the celebration.
“We want to celebrate not only our college-bound seniors but our seniors who have made a decision to go out into the work force or military.”
Becker said the students gathered Tuesday were owning that they are making a decision and looking forward to the next steps in their lives.
“It’s a way we can celebrate everybody.”
The students signed commitments to either school or to a military branch.
LHHS principal Scott Becker welcomed guests and Lake Havasu City Mayor Cal Sheehy dedicated the event, while LHHS school board member Kyle Neidermann announced the Commitment to the Future.
Here are some photos of the event.
