For decades, the Big Orange Boat was a fixture on Lake Havasu.

Boaters had a handy drive-up, order out easy-to-spot go-to resource. At the BOB, boaters could chow down, get boating needs and more.

It went away for a while, but the good news is, it’s coming back.

The BOB motto is kind of “the giant food boat serving hungry people visiting Lake Havasu City since 1990.”

Owners Steven and Tricia Chrzanowski are preparing a new orange boat to launch soon.

“We bought the new boat last May.  We weren’t sure if we were going to use it as a houseboat or open the BOB back up,” Tricia Chrzanowski said.

“So many people wanted it back so we went with that.  We started about a month ago or so .”

Tricia Chrzanowski said their goal is to get the BOB on Lake Havasu for Memorial Day Weekend.

“We are pushing ourselves. It’s going to be tight but the kitchen is all in, paint in the morning, then pontoons.

Everything is ordered so hopefully the deliveries will be on time,” she said.

Plans are for the BOB to be on Lake Havasu weekends and holidays.

“We will serve the same food as before because people raved over our burgers and Philly cheesesteaks. We also serve hot dogs, Italian sausage, slushies, shakes, ice cream, drinks and ice. We carry boat needs like flags, aspirin, sunscreen sunglasses, Pastease, and more,” she said.

“We are super excited to get it back out there. We have the only ‘letter of permission’ to be on the lake so it’s important to be there for people,” she said.
