Lake Havasu Unified School District celebrated teachers Thursday night.
Raichel Nutt was named both Teacher of the Year from Starline Elementary School and overall Teacher of the Year 2024-2025 for the LHUSD.
“I just love their personalities. They come in so excited to learn and it just makes me so happy because we can have so much fun,” Nutt said.
“I’m shocked. I’m excited. Just getting nominated by my school was amazing so being picked by the district is astonishing. I’m very honored,” she said.
The following were named Teachers of the Year at their respective schools.

Havasupai Elementary School: Hannah Towns
Jamaica Elementary School: Lee White
Oro Grande Elementary School: Sarah Luther
Smoketree Elementary School: Sarah Shaw
Thunderbolt Middle School: Christina Bonsang
Lake Havasu High School: Teresa Alspuro
Support Staff of the Year: Brian Jacobs
Rookie of the Year: Rowena Cezar
