Press Release: In Lake Havasu City author MaryEllen Thome’s new book, “Sea Glass,” readers will learn that just as broken glass on the beach is tumbled and tossed until the pieces are smooth and polished, able to be used to make something beautiful, so God takes the trials of our lives and uses them for our growth and His glory.
“Sea Glass” is Thome’s testimony and the story of how God has taken the heartache and tragic circumstances in her life and turned them into things of beauty, according to a press release.
Thome said, “For 35 years teaching and counseling have been my career. During that time, I have worked with literally thousands of children and youth. Over the years, many former students have humbled and blessed me by acknowledging my role in their lives. I would not have had the opportunity to be there for them, were it not for God’s hand in my life. Because He loves me, and has a purpose for me and my life, I have been able to be a help for ‘my kids.’ I know through my training and professional experience that the things I experienced in life could have ruined me, but God had a greater plan.”
Thome is a Lake Havasu City area resident since 1981, and serves in worship and children’s ministries alongside her husband at Redemption Hill Calvary Chapel.
