Lake Havasu City could feel a little damper toward the end of the week.

Clay Morgan, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, said they are tracking a high pressure system that should enter the Havasu area Friday into Friday night.

“The sixty-four thousand dollar question is which of the tracks we’re watching it might take,” he said. About a 1/4-inch of rain could accompany the front, and maybe more if it slows down.

Morgan said he didn’t anticipate it will bring heavy rain like some of the monsoon storms during the summer.

Morgan said if it slows down, it could go into Saturday and produce a little more rain.

Winds are expected to be mild – maybe 20 mph.

“It’s not going to be a windbag but if it slows down, it could be a soaker,” Morgan said.

As of  Wednesday morning, the system appeared to slow and it was anticipated that the front will still appear Friday night, with a 60 percent chance of rain Satureday morning moving to a 75 percent chance for rain Saturday afternoon, continuing into Sunday.
