Look out Lake Havasu City, there is a newly crowned queen in town!

Her name is Cindy Harrison and she is the first “Lady Lake Havasu” after winning in a new community pageant hosted by Havasu Nursing Center.

The pageant, hosted by Havasu Nursing Center Activity Director Azalia Meneses, is the first pageant in which the contestants represent the nursing home they reside in instead of representing the city and they compete for the title of “Lady Lake Havasu.”

“This is the first annual pageant hosted by Havasu Nursing Center. It was such a fun event,” said Gems Assisted Living Owner and Operator Vilma Urbina, who came to support her resident and contestant.

Contestants answered questions and demonstrated a personal talent. Harrison’s talent included a dance, an activity she loved since she was a child and continues to do.

Those competing represented Vista Point Assisted Living, Havasu Nursing Center and Gems Assisted Living. In the end, Harrison representing Gems Assisted Living took home the crown and title.
