Marine Corps Birthday Ball
Celebrating the 241st birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps during this black-tie affair Dining, dancing and tributes to veterans and servicemen. Yoga for Low Back Pain Workshop
The workshop is 5:30-7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11 and also is 2-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Eight Lotus Yoga. The two-part workshop helps those suffering with chronic back pain understand how gentle yoga techniques can help alleviate the pain. Veteran’s Day Parade
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov.11. It will travel down McCulloch from Acoma Boulevard to Wheeler Park. The parade is hosted by local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9401. Admission is free.
SATURDAY, NOV. 12
47th Annual Gem & Mineral Show
The event features a vast selection of natural stones and minerals. It’s the longest running event in Havasu! It is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13. Admission is $2 per person, children under 12 free. www.lakehavasugms.org.
28th Annual Turkey Trot

Horsepower Fest

Cancer Association Annual Fashion Show
This event’s proceeds support low-cost mammograms and other local programs offered by the Cancer Association of Havasu, which is a partner of Havasu Community Health Foundation. Swim Race Across Bridgewater Channel
The great race across Bridgewater Channel begins at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Shugrue’s Restaurant & Bar docks, directly across from the English Village. It’s open to all ages. The winner flips the switch to turn on all the lights that light up English Village for the holiday season’s Festival of Lights at London Bridge Resort. Admission is free. Ice Skating at the London Bridge
The ice skating rink at London Bridge Resort is Friday, Nov. 25 to Jan. 9, 2017. Hours include 5-11p.m. Fridays; 3-11p.m. Saturdays; 3-8p.m. Sundays; and Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-9p.m. Extended winter break hours are 3-11 p.m. Dec. 23 to Jan. 8. Christmas Eve 3-9 p.m., closed Christmas Day; New Year’s Eve/Day is regular hours. Admission is $10/adults and $8/children 12 and younger.
21st Annual Festival of Lights
The Festival of Lights is set to be each evening at 6-10 p.m. beginning Friday, Nov. 25 through Jan. 1, 2017. It is a holiday celebration of at least a half-million lights aglow along the waterfront. Admission is free.

7th Annual O’ Christmas Tree Raffle & Festival
Women With Willpower’s event is set for 1-5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 27, at London Bridge Resort Convention Center. It’s a spectacular display of beautifully decorated trees donated by Havasu’s citizens, merchants and organizations. Women With Willpower sole purpose is to give women in the community a hand up as they face financial hardship. Admission includes lunch, tree raffle, prizes and a $1,000 cash grand prize raffle.
