Off-road racers and event-goers gathered on McCulloch Boulevard Thursday for tech and contingency at the Parker 400.

Originally, the race and contingency were held in Parker. This is the first year that the qualifying races, tech and contingency were held in Lake Havasu City, while the race was on Shea Road near Parker.

This year’s Parker 400 festival was designed to replicate the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival that takes place over Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas.

The festivities continue today with racing in Parker.
