Taste of Havasu Treats The Taste Buds For Education

The K-12 Foundation for LHUSD #1 hosted its annual Taste of Havasu at SARA Park Rodeo Grounds Thursday evening.

Amy Sugamele, treasurer of the K-12 Foundation, said there were 21 participating food providers at the event that was enjoyed by more than 900 people.

“We are truly grateful to our local restaurants for donating all of the food that they served at the event,” Sugamele said.

She said more than $27,000 was rasied to support education. “The funds rasied at this annual event allows the Foundation to donate all the proceeds back directly to the teachers, student and staff of the LHUSD through various support programs.”

Carol Langford is the chairperson of the Taste of Havasu event.
