Teachers Honored By Lake Havasu Unified School District

It’s easy to take teachers for granted. They’re there every day, Monday through Friday, when kids are dropped off and picked up from school.

Many teachers are loved by their students and work hard to earn their trust and teach them the many skills and give them the knowledge they need when they either move on to the next grade level or to make their way out in the world.

Tonight, the Lake Havasu Unified School District honors some special teachers from every school in the district, naming them teachers of the year and more.

One Oro Grande teacher, Lisa Morgan, was named Teacher of the Year for not only her school but in the LHUSD as well.

Other teachers of the year included Giulia Dickinson, Havasupai Elementary; Rita Kidder, Jamaica Elementary; Eugenia Anderson, Lake Havasu High School; Stephanie Caterina, Nautilus Elementary; Tiffany McClintock, Smoketree Elementary; Karen Rockwell, Starline Elementary; and Kim Lehmann, Thunderbolt Middle School. Erin Horvath was named Support Staff of the Year and Rookie of the Year is Michael Dela Cruz.
