Telesis Preparatory Academy hosted a National Wheelchair Basketball game Wednesday evening.
Lake Havasu city officials and local dignitaries seated themselves in wheelchairs and played in the basketball game against the Las Vegas Yuccas and the Phoenix Banner Wheelchair Suns.
The game kicked off the basketball season for Telesis. Earlier in the day, an assembly at the school announced this season’s Telesis High School Basketball Team.
Wednesday evening, the Lake Havasu team lost to the visitors 65-22.
