It is a charitable time of year in Lake Havasu City and several businesses are preparing to offer free Thanksgiving meals to those in need this Thursday.
Their generosity reflects the spirit of the season and the community is better for it.
The Dustin Runyon Real Estate Team is once again joining with ChaBones to offer free Thanksgiving meals from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Donated turkeys have been collected for the occasion with plans to serve 1,500.
Dustin Runyon will be providing side dishes and ChaBones is donating its kitchen with their staff donating time to assist with preparation.
BlondZee’s Steakhouse also will be honoring an old tradition – donating meals this year to anyone in need from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., dine in only.
The R Bar and Grill will also be hosting its annual Thanksgiving dinner beginning at 1 p.m. until food runs out and everyone is welcome.
Calvary Baptist Church, too, will offer free meals at its McCulloch Boulevard campus beginning at 11 a.m.
Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church is putting together a Thanksgiving meal by reservation only. The reservation deadline has passed, however they will be serving up to 100 people, with volunteers managing the event.
