Car crushing, high flying monster trucks with crazy style skills are set to demonstrate just that at the Monster Truck Insanity Tour, Friday and Saturday night at Havasu 95 Speedway.
One of those trucks that will take center stage is “The Boss” driven by Alec White from Kansas. To kick off the event, White partnered with Big O Tires in Lake Havasu City Thursday, to sign autographs and displayed his truck outside, before the Monster Truck Insanity Tour.
“The promoter reached out to us and I thought it was a neat idea to share the opportunity with community. This will allow kids to come take a sneak peek after school in case they don’t make it down to the race track,” said Rick Zirges, Owner of Big O Tires in Lake Havasu City. “ We are always trying to get the community involved.”
The blue truck was displayed right outside the store which allowed for photo opportunities. Popcorn and beverages were also available and a special meet and greet with the driver.
“I have always stayed on the east side of the country, this is my first time in the west coast area and it’s quite hot here! I been driving this truck for over three and a half years now and to actually drive one of those, it’s not easy for most,” White said. ” You don’t really need to practice, my first show I just went out and got a bit hurt but it was alright,” he added.
Two admission tickets that were given away at Big O Tires, for the Monster Truck Insanity Show were won by Daniel DeLaRosa.
If you want to see White compete in some tailgate dragging and high flying stunts you can find him and “The Boss” Friday and Saturday at the Monster Truck Insanity Tour at Havasu 95 Speedway.
Other trucks that will be at Havasu 95 Speedway include “Rat Attack,” “Rover,” “Wheels of Freedom,” “Devastator,” “Big Mama,” “Wildcard,” “ Obsessed” and of course “The Boss.”
If you missed this special meet and greet, you may participate in the Autograph Pit Party at the Monster Truck Insanity Tour with paid admission this weekend. You will have to opportunity to get close to the trucks and driver before the show, 5:30-6:30p.m., Friday and Saturday, before the show begins at 7 p.m.
Be sure to also check out Big O Tires, for all your tires, repairs and maintenance needs.
