For those outside Monday afternoon, it was clear that summer temperatures were making a move on Lake Havasu City.
Monday at about 4:30 p.m., the National Weather Service reported a temperature of 102 degrees and that’s just the beginning.
Tuesday will bring about 105 degrees and Wednesday will top off the rising thermometer at 107 degrees, the service reports.
But a cooling trend follows on Thursday with temperatures closing out the week in the 90s.
Veteran Havasuvians know what to do when the thermometer rises and fortunately, there’s one big lake out there to jump in!
Just remember to hydrate by drinking plenty of water and check on elderly neighbors to make sure they are staying cool.
This is a preview of the summer to come so residents should make sure their air conditioning units are in tip-top cooling readiness.
Just stay cool and get ready for more to come.
