Tranquility Salon and Day Spa
Between the haircuts, manicures and spa treatments the ladies at Tranquility Salon and Day Spa are busy taking care of on a daily basis, they are also spreading some good spirit to the community. “We do a lot here to help others out whether it’s a gift certificate or coming together on our free time, to give back to the community,” said salon manager Heather Pace.
The women at the salon first started helping others when the Yarnell fires took place. The staff provided $15 haircuts then donated the proceeds to the families of firefighters and soon after they also started helping needy kids by handing out free school supplies in Lake Havasu City.

“When I was growing up, our family didn’t have a lot of money,” said Pace. “The community always pulled together for my family so it hits home. That is why I love to give back.” That atmosphere at the salon is also one based on teamwork and everyone has an upbeat attitude. “I have been here since we first opened three years ago,” said hair stylist Shelly Cullbertson. “We have an extremely talented group who is also very passionate in their work, life and commitment in helping our clients or anyone. Everyone here is just awesome.”
During the holidays, Pace organizes a toy giveaway for families who cannot afford gifts during the Christmas season. “We began with Toys For Tots at first and then we decided to do our own gift giveaway to families who needed it the most,” said Pace. “I even had my child help by handing out gifts to other kids as well.” Pace adds that the job itself, working at the salon, brings her joy since she has a love for hair but more importantly she loves that she has the opportunity to give back to her community. Whether you are getting your manicure or massage, or getting a splash of color on your locks, you will definitely walk out of the salon with a smile.
“I love it here because it’s a good atmosphere, we all get along,” said Barbara Stevenson, who has been at the salon for three years as a stylist and nail artist. “Everyone just helps each other out.”
