1.) Do you have a favorite book? “The Twilight’ books, they’re engaging. And, ‘The Hunger Games’. They’re great.”

2.) If you were to buy candy, what would you pick? “I don’t eat sugar, not since I was a kid, but Gobstoppers every once in a while. I buy candy at work for everybody else though, I buy salt-water taffy and chocolate.”

3.) Who is your celebrity crush? “Channing Tatum.”

4.) Favorite beverage? “Iced tea, that’s my go to drink because I don’t eat or drink anything sweet.”

5.) Crunchy or creamy peanut butter? “Crunchy.”

6.) Favorite local restaurant? “The Red Onion. I like the chicken fried steak.”

7.) What is your dream destination vacation? “Europe. Italy and France for the sightseeing.”

8.) What is your favorite article of clothing? “Pajamas. As soon as I get home, work comes off and pajamas go on. T-shirts and shorts.”

9.) What is your food weakness? “Chips. Salty Lay’s chips. Pringles. Whatever is salty, Munchos.”

10.) What is your favorite event in Havasu? “Winterfest. That’s the only one that gets me out of the house for sure. I like the walking up and down and seeing the vendors and seeing things you don’t normally get to see. It’s a one-stop shop and the weather is good.”

11.) Who do you ask for advice? “My husband, or, God if it’s about him or my family.”

12.) Do you have a favorite television show or series? “‘Grey’s Anatomy’, for the drama and the handsome doctors.”

13.) What is one thing that must be on your grocery list? “Chips and snacks. That covers everybody. I have to hide them sometimes.”

14.) In what city or town were you born? “Huntington Beach, Calif.”

15.) If you could be any age for one week, what age would you be? “30. That seems to be the age that I really came out of my shell and joined a bunch of committees and leadership classes.”

16.) What is your perfect pizza? “White pizza with Alfredo sauce.”

17.) What is your favorite pastime? “Hanging out with family and friends, and pool parties.”

18.) If you were a zoo animal, what would you be? “The lion. Because that’s what everyone goes to the zoo to see. They’re majestic. And, I’m a Leo so that makes sense.”

19.) What cheers you up? “Friends. Surprise visits from friends.”

20.) If you could remodel at home, what would be your first project? “The master bathroom. I’d make it bigger. With more room and with two sinks. And, I would have my own bathroom.”

Jerri Bracamonte has lived in Lake Havasu City for 27 years. She moved here with her family in 1989 after the big earthquakes in California. She identifies herself as a U.S. military brat, her father is retired U.S. Navy. She married her love, Havasu Fire Captain Chris Bracamonte, at London Bridge Resort 14 years ago. Together, they have three children, two grandbabies, and a family dog named Josie Jo.

Jerri spends her days working as Executive Assistant to city manager Charlie Cassens, Havasu Mayor Mark Nexsen and the City Council. At 13 years old, she began with the city as a “volunteen” with its parks and recreation program. She left Havasu for a spell to attend the University of Arizona in Tucson and returned to wrap up her education at Mohave Community College. Since, she has been working with the city. She started in fire department, moved to the human resources, and then public works. She’s been assisting the city’s administrators for the past four years.
