School is almost out, and summer vacation is nearly here, which means families will be looking for activities and camps to keep kids and families entertained during the summer break.
RiverScene Magazine has a list local summer camps, events and classes taking place during the summer months. Some are free, and others include a fee.

Mohave County Library-Lake Havasu Branch-Summer Reading Kickoff program–
Saturday, May 23 at 2:30 p.m. -Free (pick up free tickets from library)
Kids can join the library’s Summer Reading Program and summer events.
The library will be kicking it off with a FREE family event featuring Jungle Jill’s Animal Encounters!
Participants will have a hands-on experience with Jungle Jill and her menagerie of live animals, while discovering fun facts about creatures great and small.
This is a FREE family event, all ages welcome. Guests may only pickup tickets for their immediate family. Space is limited and tickets are issued on a first come, first served basis.
All children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are REQUIRED for entry, available for pic up at the library while supplies last.

Kick Start off your summer with Mohave County Library’s annual all-ages Summer Reading Program! From May 22 to July 11.
Participants will be unearthing stories with an exciting district-wide program filled with books, prizes and fun events for all ages.
Enjoy Fun Events: Crafts, games, story-time, and special events throughout the program.

Hilltop Church Kid’s Summer Camp
May 26 & May 28 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fee: $20 for camper (Lunch Provided) Camp T-shirt, water bottle included.
Join hilltop Church and have kids roll the dice, make their move, and get ready for the ultimate adventure! This year’s Kids Camp theme “It’s Your Move,” brings a game board theme to life—no cheat codes allowed. Open to kids who have completed 3rd–6th grade (2025–2026 school year)
-Epic games- Prizes, lessons on honesty, gratitude, responsibility, and walking with Jesus.

Lake Havasu Black Belt Academy Summer Camp
June 1 through June 4 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fee: $60 per day, or $200 all week. Ages 5 and up.
Join the Lake Havasu Black Belt Academy for a camp of Martial Arts training, STEM projects, Math and ELA enrichment, crafts and games! Limited space call 928-453-0515 to sign up or for more information.

Star Cinemas -Summer Youth Movie Series- June 4 through July 9 9 a.m. Free. Star Cinemas is located at The Shops at Lake Havasu at 5601 AZ-95 #730, Lake Havasu City.

Lake Havasu City -Camp I wanna go June 1-July 16 (no program July 3)
7:30am -5:30pm Fee: $305 for 7 week program, discounted rate for each additional child in the family.
