The Annual Havasu Memorial Walkway dedication ceremony Saturday morning beneath the London Bridge featured the Pioneer history of Lake Havasu and a tribute to the late Charlie Kirk.
Among those honored was the 55-year-old Beard and Mustache Competition that takes place in October.
The newly installed bricks will be dedicated to winners of the competition in the past. The first bricks dedicated to the event have been installed along the Memorial Walkway.
Dan Delasant0s presented the Beard and Mustache section of bricks and during the ceremony Walkway president Gary Meyers presented Delasantos with a donation for the nonprofit Kids On the Colorado River.
Charlie Kirk was a conservative political activist and media personality. He founded the conservative student organization Turning Point USA, and served as its executive director until his assassination in 2025. His brick will be in the Freedom section.
