StreetHearts Ministry Hosts Fun-Filled Water Balloon Event

On Saturday, StreetHearts Ministry hosted a water balloon fight, providing a fun end-of-summer activity for children.

StreetHearts Ministry is a local nonprofit that passionately serves Lake Havasu City in any way it can.

StreetHearts works with other local trades and businesses to combine efforts of service.

Doug Hunter, event organizer, discussed StreetHearts Ministry’s service.

“We do projects for senior citizens, disabled, people on fixed income, and we work together to do home projects for them and just help people in need. We just try to do the most for our community as we’re able.”

Their water balloon event was free to all, with lunch provided. 

Children played on Slip N’ Slides and threw water balloons at each other while dodging inflatable obstacles. 

StreetHearts Ministry also gave away skateboards and Bibles to kids at the event.

“We have some home restoration projects for some elderly people coming up once it cools down. We’ll get into that and we do projects for families in need during the holidays,” Hunter said.

Last year, StreetHearts Ministry fed more than 50 families on Thanksgiving and they are hoping to do more than that this year.
