In collaboration with every state park around the country, the nation is having The First Day Hike. The event is aimed at promoting outdoor recreation and scenic hikes.
The Cattail Cove hike is labeled “moderate difficulty” with stairs and sandy trails. The length of the hike is 1.5 to 2 miles.
The hike will be lead by rangers who will teach of the history of the landscapethe pumping station on Lake Havasu, and the Parker Dam.
Required for the hike: Comfortable closed-toed tennis shoes/boots, plenty of water, and a hiking stick is recommmended.
